Lowell L. Rolph age 71, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, June 29, 2003. He was born in Oshkosh on February 25, 1932, the son of Albert "Bud" and Helen Steeps Rolph. He graduated from Omro High School in 1950. He married Audrey Silverthorn on September 3, 1965 in Omro. Lowell's pride and dedication to Vinton Construction showed as he was working in his 53rd year with the company. He kept active traveling with Audrey and shoveling snow in the winter months. He enjoyed many sports, especially baseball. He played baseball for the Zion team for years, proudly being coached by his father. He liked to relax with crossword and jigsaw puzzles, or watch a John Wayne movie. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He had a special place in his heart for his two favorite "sweethearts", Cindy and Alexis, and took great pride in helping his sons renovate their houses.

He will be missed by his wife, Audrey of Omro; sons, Albert of Oshkosh, Spencer (Amy) of Omro; daughter Cynthia of Oshkosh; stepson, Lester (Blanche) Fiegel of Winneconne; granddaughter Alexis Rolph, step-granddaughters Sydra and Teri Fiegel. He is also survived by sisters, Joyce (Lester) Loker of Oshkosh, Marilyn Kloberdanz of Omro, Dora Mae Rolph of Oshkosh, Eileen Rolph of Oshkosh, Kathy (Dave) Kumbier of Oshkosh and Sharon Wagner of Berlin; sister in law Shirley (Donald) Dailey of Oshkosh; brother in law, Bernie (Phyllis) Silverthorn of Omro, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents and niece Pam Loker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omro, with Rev. Joseph Mattern officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 6:30 p.m. A memorial in Lowell's name has been established.
