Lucille J. (Anunson) Becker, age 90, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center following complications from surgery. Born on February 12, 1919 in Winchester, Wisconsin to Harvey and Alma (Hanson) Anunson, she was the second oldest in a family of nine. All of her siblings have preceded her in death, they include the following: Orvis (Severna) Anunson, Kenneth Anunson, Ethel (Merritt) Anunson Stabe, a baby boy Anunson, Howard (Eleanor) Anunson, Merwood Anunson, Ralph Anunson, and Joan Anunson.


Lucille grew up in the Winchester area and was raised on their family farm. She married Ralph H. Becker on June 18, 1938, celebrating 70 years of marriage. Together, they owned and operated Becker Music Center for more than 60 years. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. An avid golfer, Lucille was a member of Ridgeway County Club and Westhaven Golf Club for many years.


Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Ralph Becker of Oshkosh, their children, Roger Becker, Bonnie Becker, and Lorene (partner Jay Willman) Becker all of Oshkosh, and LuAnn (Boyd) Kraemer of Columbus, Wisconsin, a grandson, Scott Becker of Berlin, a great-grandson, Jacob Becker, and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by family, relatives, and many friends. Lucille is also preceded in death by twin sons, Randolph and Ralphy Becker.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Ted Johanson officiating. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
