Lucille A. Springer, age 85, of Wrightstown, and formerly of Oshkosh, died Friday evening, April 2, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. Born on March 3, 1925 in Oshkosh to William and Katherine (Hartman) Smith, Lucille married Earl Springer on May 10, 1945 in Oshkosh. Earl preceded Lucille in death on August 24, 1988.
Employed by the Oshkosh accounting firm of Kimball-Lamb-Rieckmann as an office manager, Lucille enjoyed time spent with family and friends, which were very important to her. Her grandsons efforts in hockey, baseball, and music gave much enjoyment to Lucille and collecting Beanie Babies was a favorite hobby. Lucille was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Left to mourn her passing is a son, Errol Springer of Wrightstown; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Tiedemann of Wrightstown; two grandsons, Eric Springer and Evan Springer, both of Wrightstown; a sister, Barb Hodge of Omro; and two sisters-in-law, Belle Ader and Pat Smith, both of Oshkosh. Preceding Lucille in death are her husband and a brother, Richard Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 North Eagle Street, with Reverend David Pagel officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, and on Tuesday from 12 Noon until service time at the church.
