She served as Secretary, Vice-President, and President of the Ladies Guild, taught Bible School, and sang in the church choir for over 60 years with her husband, George. Lydia's faith in the Lord was extraordinary. She also did volunteer work at Roosevelt Elementary School and enjoyed hosting many family gatherings, writing letters to family and friends, and sewing quilts for her children and grandchildren.
