Lyle B. Miller, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. He was born in Oshkosh on May 10, 1930 the son of the late Edward and Della (Titzkowski) Miller. On April 17, 1956 he married Eileen Sweet. Lyle was proud to retire as a Lieutenant for the City of Oshkosh. While there, he started the Oshkosh Police Explorer Post #215. Lyle enjoyed camping on his property on Little Wolf River and spending winters in Florida during retirement. He will be remembered for his optimistic outlook, wonderful sense of humor up until the very end, and his never ending drive for life.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Eileen; children: Doug (Kristy) Miller of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Kay) Miller of Oshkosh, and Duane (Susan) Miller of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Emily, Anna and Jessika Miller, Joshua (Nancy) Galica and Jeremy (Janelle) Galica; and great-grandchildren: Riley, Koen and Evan; and sister-in-law, Carol Daubert. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Miller, in WWII.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Seefeld Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Huff officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
