Obituary

Lynn H. Galow, age 79 of Oshkosh, died at Evergreen Retirement Center on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. He was born in Oshkosh on September 18, 1928 to Harvey and Lillian (Abitz) Galow. He grew up in Oshkosh and on September 10, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart, Frances Lange. They celebrated 59 years together.

Lynn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and active in Grace Forever Young. He retired from the Leach Company. He was also a member of the Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary. Lynn loved to work with his hands, always working around the house or building something. He was adventurous and enjoyed flying; ice boating, hunting, gardening, and photography.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Frances Galow; son, Charles Galow; daughter, LuAnn (Kenneth) Williams; and his adored granddaughter, Rachel Williams. He is further survived by his sister, Lois (Robert) Stange, and sister-in-law, Sadie Lange. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held for Lynn at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Chadwick Graham officiating. A time for visiting and sharing support will be held on Saturday at the funeral chapel from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Condolences may also be shared online at www.seefeldfuneral.com. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
