Madelyn M. "Mac" Molinski, age 85, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning, January 25, 2012, at Evergreen. Born on October 1, 1926, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Charles and Bertha (Connick) Madson, Madelyn married John "Jack" Schabloski, and together they had three children. Jack preceded Madelyn in death in 1952. She later married Harry Molinski, and together they had a son. Harry preceded Madelyn in death in 1991.
Employed as a young woman by Kline's Department Store and later by Winnebago Mental Health Center as a Nurse's Aide, before her retirement in 1968, Madelyn lead an active life. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed deer hunting with her husband, knitting, crocheting, reading, playing solitaire, painting (as an artist), and all kinds of sports. Madelyn was a former model for Polly Z's. She was a member of St. Rachael Catholic Church.
Left to mourn her passing are four children, Jay (Sandra) Schabloski of Oshkosh, Peter (Gail) Schabloski of Oshkosh, June (Fred Kubasta) MacAdam of Oshkosh, and Joul (Kathleen) Molinski of Oshkosh; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Nollenberg of Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Madelyn in death are her husbands; a granddaughter, Andrea Schabloski; two brothers, Russell and Frank; and four sisters, Florence, Ila, June, and Elaine.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Chapel, 1130 N. Westfield Street, with Reverend Douglas LeCaptain officiating. Entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Chapel.
