Marcile J. Simm, age 91 of Oshkosh, died on Monday, September 14, 2009. Marcile was born to Walter and Carrie (Madisen) Simm in Nekimi in 1918.

She attended Brick School in Nekimi and Oshkosh High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree at Oshkosh State College. After graduation she taught at South Park Junior High, Webster Stanley Middle School, and Oshkosh North High. In 1982 she earned the Wisconsin Teacher's Award.

She loved Door County and spent her retirement there. She was a member of First Congregational Church.

Surviving Marcile is her sister, Anita Simm; cousin, Erik (Nancy) Madisen of Appleton; his children, Randi (Jeremy) White of St. Paul, Minnesota and Erik (Jean) Madisen of Milwaukee; and cousin, Neal (Mardi) Madisen of Milwaukee.

A funeral service will be held for Marcile at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Pastors Ralph and Carol DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
