Margaret Daubert, age 93, of Milwaukee, and formerly of Pickett, died Friday afternoon, October 1, 2004 at Wisconsin Lutheran Home in Milwaukee. She was born on October 31, 1910 in Pickett to John and Katherine (Lautenschlager) Pfaffenroth. Margaret married Alexander "Sandy" Daubert on October 31, 1935 in Pickett and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1999.
Margaret was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for an Oshkosh engraving firm. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Margaret's two great joys in life were her church and her family. She and her husband were members of Immanuel's Choir for over 60 years. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and played the organ. Margaret was a family caregiver all her life. As the oldest child she assisted her parents in the care of her younger sisters and brothers, even housing some of the younger children when they attended high school in Oshkosh. Her home was the regular gathering place for family members, where no one ever left without being served something to eat and drink. She was a gracious hostess to family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters: Jean (Dr. Charles) Holmburg of Hubertus, Wisconsin; and Katherine (Rev. Robert) Hartman of Nekoosa; ten grandchildren: Elizabeth (Bruce) Babler of Port Orchard, Washington; Lori (John) Briggs of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Daniel (Christine) Hartman of Verona, Wisconsin; Mark (Bobbi) Hartman of Parker, Colorado; Susan (Eric) Wojciechowski of Milwaukee; John (Sheryl) Hartman of Milwaukee; Kristen (Todd) Siewert of Waukesha; Julia (Christopher) Mason of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; Ann (James) Keiper of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; and Catherine (Kevin) Moore of Moab, Utah. Also surviving are 23 great-grandchildren, seven sisters, three brothers, and their spouses. Preceding Margaret in death are her husband, parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church.
