Obituary
Margaret L. (Marge) Hamann, age 93, of Oshkosh, died Monday morning, March 24, 2008 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 7, 1914 in Oshkosh to William and Louise (Japp) Reas. Marge married Herbert E. "Sam" Hamann on July 2, 1937 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on October 18, 1990.
Marge was employed by Dahl's Greenhouse, Sterns Drugstore, and at Johnson Hills Department Store for 20 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a life-time member of Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary.
Left to mourn her passing is two sons, Terry (Darlene) Hamann of Oshkosh and Jim (Kay) Hamann of Fountain Hills, Arizona; four grandchildren, Lori (Kevin) Much of Sheboygan Falls, Michele (Scott) Kosmer of Oshkosh, Michael Hamann of Tempe, Arizona, and Justin Hamann of Fountain Hills, Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kalyn, and Tyler; one sister-in-law, Audrey Hamann of Oshkosh; a nephew, Gene (Elsie) Patterson; and her many friends at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. Preceding Marge in death are her husband; one son, William; four brothers-in-law, Carlton Hamann, Don Hamann, Alvin Luft, Arnold Patterson; and three sisters-in-law, Betty Hamann, Dorothy Luft, and Irene Patterson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Interment will take place in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial is being established in Marge's memory by her family.
A sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center for the gentle care and love given to Marge during her stay there and to Heartland Hospice for their comforting presence.
