Margaret G. Kabke, age 98, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Oakwood Manor in Oshkosh. She was born on January 18, 1919, the youngest child of eight, to Ferdinand and Bertha Priebe Rutz. On September 9, 1939, she was united in marriage to George Kabke Jr. by Rev. Benj Schlueter. Traveling by car, railroad, and plane, they visited their children and relatives throughout the United States. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage until George's death on November 4, 1991.
A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, Margaret was employed as a secretary for the Oshkosh Public School District until her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (John) Wenninger of Briarcliff Manor, New York; three granddaughters, Sara (Aaron) Decker, Laura (Sigrid) Jaeger, and Kathryn Calvert; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Calvert; and a special niece, Kathy Kotschi. Preceding Margaret in death is her husband, and two daughters, Judith Buntrock and Joan Campbell.
