Obituary

Marguerite Pierschalla, age 89, of Oshkosh, passed away on August 8, 2017. Marguerite was born on January 6, 1928 to the late George and Agnes (Aldrich) Niegelsen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Marguerite married her husband, Edward Pierschalla, in 1953. Together they shared 52 loving years, until his death in 2006. Marguerite was a loving mother and is survived by her children: Mary (Michael) Haave, Paul Pierschalla, John Pierschalla, Elizabeth (Victor) Rosenthal, and Warren (Alexandra) Pierschalla, her grandchildren: Sarah (Greg) Oswald, Rachael Haave, Nathan (Lauren Mello) Haave, and Eric (Emma Grigsby) Rosenthal, her great grandchildren: Emmett Oswald, baby girl Oswald, who is due to arrive in November, and Miles Rosenthal. She is also survived by a special grandniece, Jodie Carlson, as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, George and Agnes (Aldrich) Niegelsen, her husband, Edward Pierschalla, and her brother, Warren Niegelsen.
Marguerite graduated from Marquette University in 1949 with a BSN in Nursing. After graduation, she spent several years in hospital and teaching positions. She took an 18 year sabbatical to raise her family, and then went back to work in the field of geriatric care until her retirement.
She had an amazing sense of humor and wit combined with a positive outlook on life. Marguerite's favorite pastime was to partake in uncontrollable fits of laughter with those she loved. Being an avid reader with a love of learning, she collected more than 2000 books! She was often found quilting, gardening, traveling or catching up on current events. Marguerite cherished time spent with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren; her family was important to her and she loved them dearly.
