Obituary

Our loving mother, Marian E. (Tellefson) Nelezen, age 88 passed away on March 26, 2007, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 3, 1918, the daughter of the late Chester and Gilma (Week) Tellefson. She married Clarendon "Ben" Nelezen on July 3, 1941 and they celebrated 60 years together; he preceded her in death on June 22, 2002.

Marian was a home maker most of her life, raising two children; Carlene and Mark, and was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic.

In 1976, Ben and Marian started the retirement of their dreams in "God's Country" at their cottage on the Wolf River at Lily, WI. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards, and together they loved watching the wild life, having "happy Hour" on the dock and playing couple's pool. After more than 20 years of retirement, they moved back to Oshkosh to be close to their children.

Survivors include her daughter: Carlene (Doug) Flaherty; son: Mark (Cindy) Nelezen; grandsons: Jeff (Leigh) Wheeler and their children, Aaron and Margot, Dan (Grace) Wheeler and their son Owen, and Matt Wheeler; granddaughter: Abi Nelezen; in-laws: Harold and Virginia Reif, and Victor and Joan Nelezen; and numerous nieces. Marian's brother, Ainsley (Iris) Tellefson preceded her in death.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 Westhaven Dr., with Reverend Carl Schmitt officiating. The family will greet visitors at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.

The family wishes extend deep appreciation to the wonderful, caring staff at Park View Health Center and also Dr. Steven Knaus.
