Marie M. Groeschel, age 92 of Oshkosh died Monday, November 16, 2009 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 25, 1917 in Oshkosh, the daughter of William and Anna (Dick) Groff. Marie married Clarence Groeschel on April 14, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1975.

Marie enjoyed to read and travel in her spare time. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Telephone Pioneers of America following her retirement from AT&T in 1982 after 30 years of service.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Donald) Shew of Chippewa Falls, Carol (Lester) Stauske of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Doug, Deb, Marc, Josh, Garbriella; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son Harold Groeschel; and brother Harold Groff.

Funeral service for Marie will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Mary's Site, 605 Merritt Avenue, with Father James Jugenheimer officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will take place at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private family interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
