Marie M. Liebert, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center. Marie was born on June 26, 1917 in Green Bay, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Frank and Alma (Giese) Stascak. She married Adolph Liebert on June 26, 1937 in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1986.
Marie moved to Oshkosh with Adolph in 1956. She had owned and operated Liebert s Store in Green Bay, had operated a general store in Rocksprings, Wisconsin and had operated Tiny Tim Rides at South Park in Oshkosh. She had also worked for Miles Kimball. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Marie is survived by three sons, Charles of Oshkosh, Jack of Fond du Lac and Timothy (Debra) Liebert of Oshkosh; a daughter, Marilyn (Arthur) Heiss of Brookfield, Connecticut; sisters, Eleanor Stiles, Erna (Wesley) Cullen, Marcella Malliet, Dorothy Olson and Fern (Ronald) Stary all of Green Bay; brothers, Francis (Ann) Stascak and Donald (Lee) Stascak both of Green Bay; eight grandsons, Derik Liebert, John Liebert, Aaron Heiss, Brian Heiss, Kegan Heiss, Alric Heiss, Michael Liebert and Patrick Liebert; a granddaughter, Georgine Liebert; great-granddaughter, Lauren Liebert and two great-grandsons, Zachery and Alex Liebert. She is further survived by a brother in law, Elmer Liebert, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Roland; a brother, Robert Stascak.
Funeral services for Marie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2004 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, with the Reverend Gregg Schoeneck officiating. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels.
