Marilyn Giddings was born August 17, 1932, in Waupun to Maurice and Esther (Miller) McElroy. She passed on June 8, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

She graduated from Waupun High School in 1950, followed by the Constance Beauty School in Oshkosh, and worked for Grace Leader Beauty Shop at the Athens Hotel and Wright Beauty Salon.

Marilyn married John H. Giddings on September 5, 1964, at St. Thomas Church in the town of Poygan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Maurice and Esther; and brother, Charles McElroy.
She is survived by a nephew, Richard McElroy, Rochester, N.Y.; nieces, Jane McElroy of St. Francis, Wisconsin, Carol McElroy of Plymouth, Wisconsin; nephews-in-law, John, Don, Roger, David and Robert Giddings; as well as niece-in-law, Katie Wipf.

At Marilyn's request, private graveside services will be held. If desired, a donation to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society would be appreciated.

Marilyn wished to give a special thank you and hugs to Don Giddings, John Giddings, Tod and Lana Nortman, Katie Wipf, Ken Jungworth and Chi Whitemarsh for all your support and help when it was needed.
