Marion H. Youngwirth, age 87, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday afternoon, December 2, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on May 12, 1922 in Oshkosh to Charles R. and Cecelia M. (Mirkes) Ruby, Marion married Everett Manthei, and together they had three sons, Everett, Dennis, and Ronald. After Everett's death, Marion married Harold Youngwirth, and they had a daughter, Linda.
Employed as a sales clerk, Marion worked at S.S. Kresges and later at Kmart. She was a passionate Milwaukee Brewer Baseball fan.
Left to mourn her passing are three sons, Everett L. Manthei of Arizona, Dennis (Jan) Manthei of Missouri, and Ronald (Debra) Manthei of Burlington, Wisconsin; a daughter, Linda (Steve) Johnson of Oshkosh; three sisters, Virginia Falk of Oshkosh, Irene Johnson of Oshkosh, and Jean (Henry) Wichman of Mountain, Wisconsin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Preceding Marion in death are her husbands, Everett Manthei and Harold Youngwirth; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Manthei; three brothers, Lawrence, George, and Ralph Ruby; and two sisters, Laura Krause and Lucille Kinderman.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend William Van DeKreeke officiating. Interment will take place in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
