Marjorie J. "Marge" Johnson passed out of this world on Wednesday morning, August 31, 2011, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Throughout this battle, which she eventually won, Marge carried herself with exceptional dignity and grace. Although it was not always easy, she never complained and was courageous until the end.
Marge was born on August 4, 1934 to Pearl Edith Hornbeck Moore and Clyde Oliver Moore. She loved to garden, cook and travel with her husband Darrel D. Johnson.
Surviving Marge is her beloved husband of 53 years, Darrel Johnson; sons, Kip D. (Kelly) Johnson and Kim Johnson; and grandchildren, Samantha J. (Alex) Gabrilska and Cassie L. Johnson. Surviving extended family includes, but is not limited to, siblings: Mary Ellen Painter, F. Gene Moore, and Norma J. Churchman; sister-in-law, JoAnn Bittner; nephew, Robert Welliver; and nieces, Brenda Keller and Stephanie Bittner.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Clyde Moore; aunt, Helen Louise Moore; brother, Robert J. "Bob" Moore; parents-in-law, F. Walter Johnson and Mae Tumpach Johnson; and brother-in-law, William F. "Bill" Bittner.
