Marjorie E. LaMotte, age 96, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2017, at Bethel Home. Born on December 11, 1920, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the youngest child of Henry and Nina (Wakefield) Bielman, Marjorie married Kenneth LaMotte on October 23, 1937, in Indiana. She was employed as a Nursing Assistant until her retirement and was dedicated to her family & patients.
Survivors include her husband of 79 years, Kenneth LaMotte of Oshkosh; a daughter, Gale (Tom) Matsche of Oshkosh; three sons, Gerald LaMotte of Voca, Texas, Kenneth (Lisa) LaMotte of Fond du Lac, and Todd LaMotte of Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Marjorie in death is a great-grandson, Joshua Matsche, her parents, and nine siblings, Robert, Effie, Myrtle, Ione, Laura, Ruth, Frank, Bill, and Herb.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
