Obituary

Mark G. Burg, 66, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2024. He was born in Oshkosh, WI on July 31, 1957 to Alice and Garland Burg.

Mark was affectionally known as Uncle Bark. He was a generous person who loved his family and had a strong faith. Mark was a proud Eagle Scout and a member of the La Crosse Republican Party. He worked for over 34 years at Fox 25/48 and was currently working at PTI (Professional Transportation Inc.). Mark was also a member of the Coulee Classics Car Club.

Mark is survived by his son, Scott Garland Burg; grandchildren, Jonathan Nichols, James Burg, Jacob Burg, Zachary Burg and Alex Burg; siblings, Faye (James) Sherron, Paul Charles (Debbie) Burg, Michael Harry (Beth) Schuppe, Patricia (Lon) Loehning and John Jeffrey Scott Schuppe. He is further survived by his former spouse, Fausta Karl; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Alice and Garland; niece, Hannah Janay Lorenz; grand-nephews, Sullivan Danger Sherron and Ezio Hezekiah Hartl.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon Street with visitation being held from 2pm to 4pm and services to follow.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Lake View Memorial Park at 1pm.
