Obituary

Marlin D. Krause, "Grandpa Marlie" age 67, of Berlin, died Saturday morning October 15, 2005, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born March 13, 1938 in Berlin, WI the son of Harold and Margaret Krause.
He had worked at Kolpin Manufacturing, Milt's Mobil, Berlin Tannery and in his retirement years worked as a Lawn Technician for Leach Farms. Marlie loved to be around family and friends, enjoying time spent at the hunting shack, doing what he loved, b-s'n with the boys. He enjoyed long walks, stopping to sit and watch traffic, playing horseshoes, driving around, tractor pulls and car shows.

Marlie is survived and will be missed by his sisters, Betty (Fred) Southworth of Oak Creek, WI., and Glenda (Arden) Schalk of Green Bay; brothers, Gordon of Oregon, Norman (Sandy) of Oshkosh, Allen (Sharon) of Berlin and Vernon (Kathy) of Berlin; sisters in law, Dianne Krause of Berlin and Judy Krause of Omro. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his close friends, Carl Chappa and Pete and Tracy Kallas. Marlie was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers; Leland, Leonard and infant Lynn as well as his driving partner, Junior.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the funeral home in Omro from 4-8 p.m. and then again on Thursday, October 20, 2005, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Waukau Community Center immediately following the cemetery service. A memorial is being established.
