Marlin A. "Jiggs" Rymer, age 72, of Omro, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born July 4, 1935, in Fond du Lac to Lee and Dorothy (Ragan) Rymer. He attended school in Omro. He married Shirley Hanson on July 21, 1956. He was a very mechanical man; he restored many antique tractors over the years, and worked at Mercury Marine, Speed Queen and Kingsbury, Inc. He took great pride in his yard and garden, making sure it was always kept up beautifully. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandkids.
Marlin is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Jeffrey Rymer of Oshkosh; daughters, Julie Rymer of Oshkosh, and Brenda (Steven) Rilling of Oakfield; his grandchildren, Sandra Tritt (Jeff Wehle), Jodi Tritt-Jenkins (Joshua Jenkins); Michael Rilling, Cory (Jamy) Rilling, Anthony Rilling and Matthew Rymer; 8 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; his brothers and sister, Melvin Rymer of Oshkosh, Joyce Barkow of Redgranite, David (Kathy) Rymer of Omro and Daniel (Dawn)Rymer of Berlin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dorothy Rymer; grandson, Adam Rilling; and his sister, Patricia Kunde.
A time of visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. A memorial is being established in his name.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at Mercy Medical ICU and Cancer Center, for all of their care of Marlin and the family.
