Martha Ann "Marti" Grant, age 45, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 20, 2005. Martha was born in Oshkosh on June 19, 1959 to Dean and Susan Grant.
Martha was a writer who enjoyed writing poetry, a joy that stemmed from her Major in English and Journalism at UW-Madison where she graduated with honors. She was athletic participating in swimming and track during high school, and bicycling became one of her favorite means for relaxation. Martha was kind and loving to everyone and everything. She had a great love for horses, cats, and other animals.
Martha is survived by her mother, Sue Grant of Oshkosh, and her brothers, Dan (Laura) Grant of Neenah, and Peter (Deborah) Grant of Wausau. She is further survived by her nephews Jakob and Elijah Grant of Wausau. Her father Dean Grant precedes Martha in death.
A Memorial Service will be held for Martha at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at First Congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd., Reverends Ralph and Carol DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
