Martha M. Paulick, age 97, of Oshkosh, died Sunday morning, March 17, 2013, at Evergreen Manor. She was born on September 6, 1915, in Oshkosh, the daughter of John and Frances (Kraus) Stephany. Martha attended St. Vincent School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. She married Leonard A. Paulick on June 2, 1937, at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Leonard preceded Martha in death on September 3, 2007.
Early in their married life, Martha was employed at Buckstaff Company and later at King Laundry. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish – St. Vincent Catholic Church. Martha enjoyed playing Cribbage and especially Sheepshead. She enjoyed time spent with family, going out to eat, watching birds from the feeder in her yard, and catching the Bucks, Brewers, and Packer games on TV. Martha was especially interested in watching tennis matches on her TV. Always an active lady on the go, Martha enjoyed doing laundry and hand scrubbed her own floors well into her 90's. She was known for her happy, smiling face.
Left to mourn Martha's passing are her four children, Jeanne (Larry) Hildebrand, James Paulick, Barbara Paulick, and John Paulick; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Lenny Paulick, a daughter-in-law, Beverly Paulick, a brother, and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Jude the Apostle Parish – St. Vincent Catholic Church, 1225 Oregon Street, with Reverend Mathew Simonar officiating. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
