Obituary

Martin "Marty" J. Webb, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2025, in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on June 30, 1969, to parents, Byron Webb Sr. and Patricia (Gilhooley) Webb, in Pennsylvania.

He proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, before retiring in 2006. Marty was deployed during Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom II. After retirement he went on to work almost 20 years as a Military Mechanic before starting his own business- Webb's Handyman Services.

On September 29, 1990, he married the love of his life, Laurie Ellen Houman, in Hawley, Pennsylvania.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting, Marty shared his love of the outdoors with his family and together they spent many hours enjoying nature and building memories. He also collected eagle and mallard statues and embraced Laurie's love of adopting cockatiels. Sunday mornings were the one day the family could look forward to him showing off his culinary skills in the kitchen. He would make a feast, but if you slept in, you surely missed out.

Marty is survived by his wife, Laurie Webb; children, Jeffery (Amber) Webb and Branden (Laura) Webb; 5 grandchildren, Madysen, Ayden, Branden, John and Rochelle; siblings, Debbie (Ray) Capwell and Byron Webb Jr.; father-in-law, Harry Houman; brothers-in-law, Gary (Rose) Houman, Gordon (Lisa) Rivenburg and  Timothy Rivenburg; sister-in-law, June (Larry C.) Repsher; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Further survived by lifelong friends, Doris (Chris) Marici; good friends and battle buddies, Steve (Beth) Kinney and Hector Medina.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Byron Webb Sr. and Patricia (Gilhooley) Webb; infant sister, Maryanne Webb; brothers, Sam and Joe Webb; mother-in-law, Doris Houman; sisters-in-law, Jean Marie Webb and Jane (George) Twiddy; brother-in-law, Richard Rivenburg; and many other friends and family.

An honor guard veteran send-off will be held at 1PM on Monday June 30, 2025, at Heroes' Hunt for Veterans, N2973 Co Rd M, Waupun, WI 53963, following that will be a celebration of life at Lakeside Park, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 on Oven Island, West Shelter.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for assistance with final expenses.

The family would like to thank everyone that has ever shown him love and support during his life. You truly made him smile.
