Marvin Eldor Koplitz, age 78, died Tuesday morning, December 18, 2007. He was born July 19, 1929 in Oshkosh, a son of the late Eldor and Esther (Diestler) Koplitz. On September 4, 1952 he married Dorothy Maliske. He went to school in Oshkosh and farmed in the town of Utica (Picket Area) for many years before moving to Oshkosh. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett. Marvin enjoyed baseball, bowling and especially fishing.


Marvin is survived by his wife, Dorothy and three children, Gary (Mary) Koplitz of Pickett; Krisann (special friend, Dewey Bier) Koplitz of Pickett, and Brian (Dawn) Koplitz of Oshkosh; six grandchildren: Shianne, Justin, Eric, Shawn, Nick and Emily; a sister, Shirley (David) Treleven of Omro; three brothers; Kenneth (Joan), Howard (Karen) and Larry (Carol) of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Verna Hildebrand; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, David Hildebrand.


Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2007 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with the Reverend Russell Kloehn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
