Mary Ann Bauer, age 77, of Wautoma, died Monday evening March 28, 2005 at Wild Rose Manor. She was born July 15, 1927 the twin daughter of E. Paul and Esther (Wiegner) Bauer. Mary Ann moved to the Wautoma area with her family in 1942, moved to the Milwaukee area in 1955 and then back to Wautoma in 1981. Mary Ann had worked for several newspapers throughout the years and had worked for the Waushara Argus and the Waupaca Post. She never married, but loved children and thoroughly enjoyed her nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was an avid bowler and had received many awards and trophies. She enjoyed driving, going out to breakfast at Lakeshore Restaurant in Wautoma and playing Bingo.
Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Ted (Judy) Bauer of Wautoma; sisters, Claire Jean Wilson of Wautoma, her twin, Rose Marie Opperman of Wild Rose, Caroline (Bob) Andler of Dousman, WI., and Karren (Philip) Pettit of Plainfield, WI., numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward Paul Jr. and Carl Albert; her niece, Theresa Pettit; and brothers in law, Eli Wilson and Byron Opperman.
Graveside services will be held Thursday (TODAY) at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wautoma at 11:30 a.m. where she will be buried beside her parents.
