Mary M. Brahmer, age 73, of Omro, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at her home. Mary was born March 16, 1942, in Oshkosh the daughter of Harvey and Ella (Berg) Engel. She was educated in the Oshkosh School System and was a graduate of Oshkosh High School. Mary married Robert Brahmer on September 8, 1962, at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He died May 14, 2011. Together they farmed in the town of Omro for many years. Mary also worked at the Omro Grade School for more than 35 years as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, crocheting and puzzles. Mary loved all her family but especially enjoyed her grandchildren; family was her life.Mary is survived by one son, Greg (Patty) Brahmer of Wild Rose; one daughter, Deanne (David) Rogers of Omro; daughter-in-law, Lisa Brahmer of Omro; five grandchildren, Joshua Brahmer, Kolt Rogers, Kaleb Rogers, Amber Brahmer and Genna Brahmer; sister, Pam Rawlingson of Michigan; special friends, Donald and Carol Remer of Omro, Larry and Audrey Hunt of Omro; nieces, nephews; and her dog, Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert. Private family services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015. There will also be a celebration of Mary's life on Sunday, May 17, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at her daughter, Deanne's home at 1071 Harrison Ave., Omro. A memorial will be established.The family would like to thank the staff at Affinity Visiting Nurses for the wonderful care given Mary and the rest of her family.
