Mary Frances Dunn, age 92 of Oshkosh died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born August 14, 1918, the daughter of John and Lillian (Pugh) Vaughan. She married Edward Hedtke and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mary later married LeHigh Dunn on August 21, 1999 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2006.
Mary was Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary 267 in 1977 and was also past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge in 1993. She was a member of Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church and she enjoyed helping elderly ladies.
Left to mourn Mary's passing and cherish her memory are her son, Robert Vaughan; grandson, Scott (Sonja) Vaughan; Scott's mother, Carol Boquist; Mary's great-grandchildren, Lora Marie Vaughan, Nikolaus Vaughan and Zakary Vaughan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Edward and LeHigh.
Funeral service for Mary will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street with Pastor Kevin Mundell officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
