Mary Ann O'Neil-Harper-Jakubowski, age 79, of Omro, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Omro Care Center where she has resided for the past ten years. She was born on May 12, 1926 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Charles and Joyce (Bronson) O'Neil. She was married to the late George Harper and the couple had five children; George Harper of Oshkosh, Neil Harper and his fiance Rose of Oshkosh, Judy (Jeffrey) Hanson of Neenah, John Harper of Oshkosh. Mary married Frank Jakubowski of Oshkosh in 1965 and they had a son, David Jakubowski, of Oshkosh. She is further survived by a sister, Joyce (Richard) Rennert of Oshkosh; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Gene Harper and a sister, Margaret "Midge" Carter.
Mary had worked for Miles Kimball in Oshkosh and The Stamping Company in Winneconne. She greatly enjoyed crocheting and traveling-trips. A memorial service for Mary will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, with Sister Judy Miller presiding. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
