Mary Ritchie McCain, age 100, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Mary was born on May 21, 1913 in Waupaca, WI. She married Allison "Mac" B. McCain on August 24, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1997 after they had celebrated their 60th anniversary. She was a 70 year member of the First Congregational Church and a 65 year member of Chapter BA of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Mary is survived by her children: Alan/Mick (Evin) McCain, Turkey; Thom (Jan) McCain, Columbus, OH; Bruce (Donna) McCain, Oshkosh, WI; and Molly (Mike) Batzner, Racine, WI; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the First Congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, at 2:00 p.m. Family members will be available starting at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Refreshments will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the First Congregational Church's kitchen remodel project.
