Mary Ann Pommerening, age 82 of Oshkosh, died at Aurora Medical Center on Saturday, September 15, 2007. She was born on August 25, 1926 to George and Adelia (Bohmann) Challoner. She married Ivan Pommerening on September 2, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1971. Mary loved gardening. She was a compassionate, understanding, gardener.
She is survived by her sons: Jack Pommerening of Anahola, Hawaii and Jim (Jane) Pommerening of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; her cat, Cindy; siblings: Helen Challoner, Myra (William) Manser, and George (Faye) Challoner; nieces: Mary (John) Gronlund, Elizabeth (Greg) Manser Payne, and Laura (Bill) Challoner-Hue; nephews: Joe (Debbie) Manser, Andy (Jeff) Manser, and George S. Challoner; six step-grandchildren and their families; and six great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by brother, John Challoner; in-laws, Arthur and Esther Pommerening; Aunt, Regina Bohmann; Uncle, Ted Bohmann; and special friend, Opal Mayne.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visiting and sharing of memories to be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
