Mary Ann Westphal, nee Matte, age 88, passed away at home in Neenah on Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born in Milwaukee on April 5, 1930 the daughter Fred and Rose (Kelanski) Matte. On June 25, 1949 she married Wilbur Westphal in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death in 2007. Mary worked as an LPN at Sunset Haven Nursing Home from 1950 until the 1970's. She then went on to work at the VNA of Neenah, retiring in the mid-eighties. Her last job during retirement was at Outlook Graphics in Neenah. Mary enjoyed traveling and camping with her family as they were growing up. Lately, she could be seen enjoying the outdoors with a good book. Everyone will remember Mary for being a kind, generous and outgoing person.

Mary is survived by her children: Michael and Matthew (Alice) Westphal; grandchildren: Richard Westphal, Ashley and Ryan Westphal; one great-granddaughter, Brianna; and sisters: Lucille Marinello, Delores Atkeson and Florence (Gail) Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; her parents, Fred and Rose Matte; brothers: Richard, Ervin and Donald; and sisters: Dottie and Helen.

A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St., Oshkosh. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
