Melissa McHale, age 41 of Omro, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side at Mercy Medical Center on April 2, 2017. Melissa was born to Mr. Gary Romero Sr. and Mrs. Susan Weber on October 23, 1975 in Oshkosh. Melissa was a 1994 graduate of Omro High School who worked as a Photo Developer in retail stores. Melissa was an avid cook and singer. She had an amazing voice and the brightest smile that everyone will remember. She loved her pets and she loved listening to music as well. Melissa always had the best comebacks and was very sassy, which is something she picked up from her Auntie Christ. She was a good daughter who will be remembered for the help she gave her mother when needed, and the time spent with her family. She loved her children and her whole family. Melissa is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Leroy and Lita Meyer, her paternal grandparents: Joe and Elizabeth Romero, her sister-in-law LeAnn Smith, as well as her nephew: Brandon Smith. Melissa is survived by her Sons: Aidan and Collin McHale, her parents: Gary (Kathy) Romero and Sue (Jerry) Jesmok (nee Weber), her Grandfather: John Weber, her siblings: Ray (Renee) Smith, Tim Smith, Angie (Eddie) Serveda, Gary "Hoss" Romero Jr., her step-siblings: Tom (Kathy) Broege, Brett Broege, Michele (Ameen) Al-Ghetta, Wendy (Brian) Fisher, her special friend Zach Jones as well as her beloved aunt Sharon. Melissa is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The funeral service for Melissa will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home in Omro. A visitation will take place before the funeral service from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. The family of Melissa would like to thank the ICU staff at Mercy Hospital of Oshkosh for their care and concern for Melissa in her final days. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the Kwiatkowski Funeral Home in her name.
