Merrill "Mick" R. Davis, age 76, passed away unexpectedly May 16, 2017 athis home. Mick was born October 22, 1940 in Oshkosh, the eldest of 5 children born to W. Riede and Ferne (Horne) Davis. He married Judith Dumke on May 25th, 1963. Mick will be remembered as a loving husband and father.He was active in the community throughout his adult life enjoying varioussports leagues, participating in local clubs, and serving on the Omro School Board for several years. Mick was passionate about travel and golf. He and Judy spent many years touring North America on a motorcycle, often traveling with friends. After retiring from a 30+ year career at Wisconsin Public Service Corp., Mick continued to enjoy traveling in his convertible exploring golf courses throughout the country.Mick is survived by his son, James (Donna) Davis and daughter, SuzetteDavis-Rice (Paul); his grandchildren Alan Davis, Brandon Davis, Meghan Rice, Emily Rice, and Jamie Rice; brothers Lyle and Larry; and sisters Kathy and Nancy (Langberg). He was preceded in by his wife, Judith and son, Gerald.Friends and family are invited to come help celebrate Mick's life by enjoying a drink, a bite to eat, and sharing memories on Monday May 22, 2017 at Wedgewood Golf Course from 3-6pm. A memorial is being established in his name.
