Michele Ebel of Neshkoro, formally of Oshkosh and Shawano was called to her Lords loving arms on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Michele fought a courageous 36 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis only to lose to cancer. Michele was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, on October 1, 1946 to Michael and Anna (Lewandowski) Philipp. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1964. Michele entered into marriage with Bruce Ebel in Oshkosh on August 28, 1981.
Michele enjoyed all types of crafting, playing darts, being a child care provider, spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren and relaxing on her deck on warm spring and summer days overlooking the lake.
Michele is survived by her husband of 30 years, one daughter Jennifer Rockey (Ebel), two sons David (Courtney) Kolb and Matthew Kolb and two step daughters Vicki Ebel and Jodi Ebel. She is further survived by eight sisters and two brothers, ten grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.
Michele was predeceased by her father and mother, sisters Carol Jean Gee and Mary Jane Staszak, sister-in-law Sandra Ebel, mother-in-law Jayne Ebel and father-in-law Ralph Ebel.
A celebration of her life will be held at Bethel Worship Center, 903 E. Tennessee in Oshkosh. Pastor Joseph Butler will officiate. Visitation will take place Tuesday October 4, 2011 from 3pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm. Friends and family are encouraged to partake in her celebration. Michele will forever be immensely loved and painfully missed by all who knew her.
A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Juliette Manor and Agnesian hospice care for the thoughtful and loving care given to Michele in her hours of need.
