Obituary

Michele C. Ramseier-Stone DVM, "Dr. Michele", age 37, of the Town of Nepeuskun, passed on Friday evening, January 22, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Michele was born January 23, 1972, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Ralph and Laura (LaGesse) Ramseier. She had attended grade school at Sacred Heart in Oshkosh and was a graduate of Oshkosh North High School. Michele later attended U.W. Platteville and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1994. She then attended Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated and received her DVM in 2000. Michele married Rob Stone on June 24, 2000 in Waukau. Michele had many passions in life. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and animals. She especially had a tender spot for cats. Her faith and family was very important to her and above all else, her son Ben meant the world to her. During her career, Michele had worked at and was associated with ImproMed Veterinary Software in Oshkosh, Associated Veterinary Clinic of Ripon and the Omro Veterinary Clinic.

Michele is loved and will be missed by her husband, Rob; her son, Ben; parents, Ralph and Laura Ramseier of Oshkosh; grandmother, Catherine Schnoor; grandfather, Harry Ramseier; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and many near and dear friends and colleagues.

In respect to Michele's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the funeral home in Omro from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison St., Omro, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at church with Fr. Jason Blahnik and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Michele will be laid to rest at Waukau Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Michele's employer, ImproMed and Dr. Gremminger and staff at the Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center for all the care and compassion shown to Michele and the rest of her family. They not only cared for us throughout Michele's illness, but they all took care of us right to the very end.
