Obituary

Mildred "Millie" B. Guetschow, nee Leet, age 99, of Oshkosh, passed away at Bethel Home in Oshkosh on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born in Waupun on May 28, 1916, the daughter of the late Harold and Amelia (Buerger) Leet. In 1936 she married Raymond Rost in Fond du Lac. Together they had 11 children. She later married Rudolph Guetschow. Millie was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, participated in Esther Circle, among other things. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and especially Bingo and games at Bethel Home. Millie will be remembered for her faith, strength, stubborness and being one "Heck" of a lady.
She is survived by her children: Richard Rost, Patti Rost, Arlene (Butch) Bowen, Howard (Wally) Rost, Barbara (Ray) Weitz, Jerry (Sue) Rost, and Lorraine Rost; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Paula Rost; and son-in-law, Bob Oien. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond and Rudoph; sons: James, Allan and Eugene Rost; daughter, Linda Oien; sisters: Lillian Krueger and Loretta Ramierez; brother, Marshall Leet; son-in-law, Jim Hughes; and former husband, Raymond Rost.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the chapel at BETHEL HOME, 225 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating. Friends will be received at Bethel Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Condolences may be expressed at www.seefeldfuneral .com.
