Mildred H. Martin, age 84, of Oshkosh; a faithful servant of the Lord, joyfully went to meet her Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, February 14, 2005. She was born on July 4, 1920 in Mattison, Wisconsin, to William and Marie (Kuschel) Graper. She married John Edward Martin on July 17, 1940. They enjoyed 64 ? years together.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church participating in Grace Circle, LWMS, Bethesda, and WLA Auxiliary. She loved flowers and fishing. A licensed cosmetician, she helped many faces look beautiful while working at Coe Drug.
Mildred is survived by her husband: John; children: Shareen (Leonard) Halvorson of Springfield, Minnesota; John Edward (Joan) Martin II of Muskego; David George (Diana) Martin of Oshkosh; and Marilyn (Richard) Siegler of Manitowoc. 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Bettie Graper of Oshkosh, and Ruth Graper of Neenah further survive her. Mildred was preceded in death by 2 infants; a granddaughter; sisters: Margaret Graper and Norma Schuett; and a brother: Erwin Graper.
Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 19, 2005, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran, 913 Nebraska Street, Pastor Gregg Schoeneck officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
