Obituary

Milo D. "Buzz" Schmidt, age 70, of Oshkosh, died at his residence with his wife at his side on Thursday, February 15, 2007. He was born to the late Clarence and Viola (Zentner) Schmidt on April 30, 1936 in Oshkosh. Milo served in the U.S. Navy and shortly before he was discharged, he met Deanna J. Culver of North Fond du Lac. They were married on February 6, 1960 in Fond du Lac. Milo was a member of the B.P.O.E. #292 (Elk's Lodge). His life was his family, his home, and his yard. Milo adored spending as much time as he could with his three grandchildren.
Milo is survived by his loving wife, Deanna; his daughter, Debbie Addis; and his son, Scot (Lauri Lumby) Schmidt, all of Oshkosh. His is also survived by his three grandchildren, Heather Addis, Maggie Schmidt, and Wil Schmidt. Milo is further survived by his brother, Darrell (Marilyn "Mungo") Schmidt of Oshkosh; and his sister, Carol (Gerald "Jerry") Hintze of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents.
All are welcome to a visitation and fellowship supper at the Elk's Lodge, 175 W. Fernau Avenue, Oshkosh, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 18th. Family will receive guests briefly on Sunday at 2:30 P.M. with an intimate service at 3:00 P.M. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. The B.P.O.E. will give honors. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in Buzz's name.
