Mona Kienert passed away on July 14, 2015 at Bethel Home. Mona was born in Oshkosh on March 20, 1931 to Paul & Essie Zarling. She was married to Darwin Kienert in 1948 and they had seven children. Mona is survived by four of her children, Merry Lee Meunier (Bruce), Cindy Houle, Dan Kienert (Cindy), and Doug Kienert (Kelly), 14 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three of her daughters; Holly Brown (Jim), Sandy Lawler (Dana), and Becky Hamp. Also her former husband, Darwin Kienert, her brothers Larry Zarling and Jim Zarling (Marianne), her sisters, Lila Mae Ware, and Bonnie Barnes (Howard).
Mona was employed by Park View Health Center for twenty years and retired in 1997. Her post retirement career included spending time with friends, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, reading mysteries, her Bibles, crocheting everything from throws to dolls, and shopping. One of her greatest loves was going out to eat - anytime, anywhere, with anyone. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon Street.
