Muriel F. Larson, age 87, of Omro, died Monday morning, December 19, 2016, at Care Partner Country Terrace in Winneconne. Born on September 2, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Peterson) Moriearty, Muriel married Vernus Larson on September 10, 1948, in Indiana. Employed by Omro Telephone Company and later by Oshkosh Telephone Company, Muriel left these companies in order to raise her family, and later, did seasonal work at the Miles Kimball Call Center or the canning factory. She started working at Printco in Omro in 1981 through 1995. Love of travel took Muriel and Vernus to at least 24 states and three Canadian Provinces. When unable to leave the state, they enjoyed time spent in the north woods hunting and fishing with family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Vernus Larson of Omro; three children, Valerie (Adam) Arcinieaga of Ft. Worth, Texas, Larry (Joy) Larson of Saluda, North Carolina, and Randy (Lorraine) Larson of Omro; three brothers, Wayne (Ardean) Moriearty, Ron (Rose) Moriearty, and Neil Moriearty; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Muriel in death are her parents and a sister, Barb Blythe. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro.
