Nancy F. Simpson, age 71, of Oshkosh, died peacefully April 18, 2012. Nancy was born December 5, 1940 in Corpus Christi, TX, the daughter of Ira Landon and Ada (Webber) Lawson. She graduated from W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, TX in 1958. Nancy married John S. Simpson in Corpus Christi on October 20, 1961. She met him while he was stationed in Kingsville, TX while serving in the U.S. Navy. Nancy was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed playing bingo and going out to eat with her friends. She had worked at Miles Kimball for a number of years. Nancy is loved and will be missed by her daughters, Deborah Tesseniar of Menasha, Sandy (Mark) Felsher of Raleigh, N.C. and Char (Jeff) Hudson of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Angela Howe, Heather Tesseniar, Andrew, David, Anna and Dorothy Felsher, John and Sarah Hudson; three great grandchildren; sister, Annise (Lloyd) Lindeburg of Corpus Christi, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Ada Lawson; husband, John Simpson, and brother, Ira Landon Lawson, Jr. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service of remembrance at 6:00 p.m. Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial in her name is being established.
