Nathan G. Gorr, age 82, of Oshkosh, died Thursday, April 30, 2008 at Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King, Wisconsin. He was born Septemeber 15, 1925, the son of George and Elizabeth (Kleveno) Gorr. He attended Omro Schools and graduated from Omro High School. He married Gertrude Ebersberger in Oshkosh on September 4, 1948. She preceded in him death on March 18, 2005. Nate was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving with the 75th Infantry Division in Europe. He was a carpenter by trade, and was working at PCS Sales in Omro at the time of his retirement in 1987. Nate was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union. He especially enjoyed fishing and playing cards, and prided himself with always having the correct sheephead move.
Nate is survived by his sons; Nathan A. (Dee Dee) and Dennis, both of Oshkosh, his granddaughters; Katie and Lindsey, both of Milwaukee; brother, Floyd Gorr, of Omro; sisters, Esther Mimm of Mission Viejo, California, Emma Freund of Akron, Ohio; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gertrude and several brothers and sisters.
In accordance with Nate's wishes, a private family service was held on Friday, May 2, 2008.
