Nicole (Vogel) Edwards passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at home. She was born in Oshkosh on November 30, 1975 to Cliff and Diane (Clarke) Vogel. Nicole was a 1994 graduate of Oshkosh North High School. She was on the varsity swim team for three years. She attended UW-Oshkosh and graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in 2002 with a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. In this field while working in Appleton she met her future husband. She was married to Jim Edwards on October 15, 2005. Nicole was currently employed with U.S. Bank in Oshkosh. She'll be remembered for her love of reading, a kind spirit and the way she found pleasures in the simple things. She was a loving wife, daughter and sister and always found ways to put others before herself.
Along with her beloved husband, she is survived by her parents, Cliff and Diane Vogel all of Oshkosh. She has two siblings, Corey and Heather. She will be missed by her grandparents, Clifford and Rita Vogel along with her in-laws, Tom and Karen LoBianco. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Ruth Clarke and Andrea Vogel.
A memorial service for Nicole will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8th, at St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Murdock Street, led by the Rev. Karen Jewell. A gathering to celebrate her life will begin at the church on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. All are invited to come for support, sharing of stories and honoring Nicole's giving spirit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may also be shared online at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
