Olga R. Tauschmann, age 90, of Oshkosh, died Sunday afternoon, October 9, 2016, at Park View Health Center. Born in Ripon, Wisconsin, July 4, 1926, the daughter of August and Elsie (Dahms) Kestrich, Olga was a graduate of Ripon High School, Ripon College, and Fox Valley Technical College in the School of Nursing.
She was employed by Speed Queen in Ripon as a shell inspector, later by Ripon Municipal Hospital as a Registered Nurse, and lastly by Winnebago State Health Institute/Park View Health Center for over 40 years before retiring in 1989.
In 1946, Olga married George Hopkins with the U. S. Army, later; she married Florian Darnick in 1952 and married Wayne Tauschmann on October 4, 1968.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Maes of Oshkosh; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Preceding Olga in death are her husbands, parents, a daughter, Sandra Parsons, a granddaughter, Christina Lane, a brother, Lester Lenz, a sister, Mildred Koshnick, a nephew, DuWayne Lenz, a niece, Shirley Kilian, and a sister-in-law, Irene Lenz.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
