Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Hintz, age 74, of Oshkosh, WI, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully after a long illness on Friday evening July 2nd with her loving husband Lyell Hintz by her side. Pat was born "Patricia Joan Crooks" on December 10, 1935 in Fairhaven, Michigan. She was a long-time resident of the Detroit area who then resided in Winter Park, FL. for over 25 yrs, and moved to Oshkosh in 2004. Pat held various professional positions at numerous organizations throughout her lifetime. She was employed by the Orlando Jaycees as a senior office manager for many years and retired from her position as office manager at The Holocaust Memorial Center, in Orlando Florida after 10 years of exemplary service.



Pat was a dedicated advocate for homeless and rescued animals. She demonstrated a life-long passion for the fine arts, which she studied as a young adult. Pat was a talented painter and illustrator. Letters from Pat were often adorned with whimsical animal illustrations and she would create personalized greeting cards with her original artwork.



Pat is survived by her beloved and dedicated husband Lyell Hintz of Oshkosh, her beloved daughter Julie Kahn and her husband Dan Scully (of Chestnut Hill, MA), her beloved daughter Marilyn Howard (of Troy, MI), and her cherished granddaughters Samantha Barbero and Ryan Balberman. She also leaves behind her adoring cats Izzy and Max.



A service to celebrate Pat's life will be conducted on the afternoon of Saturday, July 10 at 3:00 PM. Her family will greet relatives and friends at the Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church, 1174 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901 (for directions or more information call: 920-231-2800)
