Obituary

On the afternoon of December 22, 2020, Patricia Alberta Knobloch (Ryckman) passed away during sleep in the comfort of her home and surrounded by family. She was 85 years old.

Patricia was born to Berwyn and Marie Ryckman (Kromm) on the 19th of April, 1935 to a family of 14 siblings. She is preceded in death by her brothers Berwyn, Clarence, Gerald, and Richard. She is survived by brothers Robert and Dennis, and sisters Marianne, Carol, Judith, Nancy, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Susan, and Mary Ellen. On January 19, 1957, Patricia married the love of her life, Arlin M. Passehl (1934-1959) with whom she shared sons Randy (1957-2008) and Rick, as well as daughters Robin Cole and Patricia Ratacjak. From her second marriage to James Knobloch Sr., Patricia had sons James, William, Travis (1972-75), Kirby, and Shannon Knobloch. Patricia worked for a long time at Miles Kimball to support her family. After a series of medical complications, Patricia lived out her final years in the care of her son William and his family, which includes wife Jaime, and children, Ashley, Jasmine, Mercedes, and Tristan.

She is remembered as being particularly strong and resilient, often sharing her feisty attitude and sarcastic opinions with those closest to her. She lived to meet dozens of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her absence is greatly felt, and she will be missed by her family and friends.
Patricia will be cremated and reunited with her first love and husband, Arlin. A public visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Seefeld Funeral Home.
