Paulette A. Egan, age 71, of Omro, passed away peaceful at home Tuesday morning, April 10, 2018. She was born on August 19, 1946, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Louis F. and Malinda S. (Braasch) Schuman. On February 27, 1965, she married Lawrence Egan and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1993.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, an occasional trip to a casino, and her lake lot on Rush Lake. What was dear and near to her heart was traveling. Paulette was a true coast to coast avid camper traveler, visiting many state parks and out of the way camping spots. In her own words she was a "Modern Day Gypsy."
Survivors include her children, Michael (Tracy) Egan of Waukau, Gregory (Kathleen) Egan of Waukau, and Jacqueline (Joel) Borgmann of Orangeville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Mackenzie (Luke) Harness, Tyler Egan, Meghan Egan, Rebecca Egan, and Melinda Borgmann; a great-grandson, Everett Harness; two brothers, Phillip Schuman and Danny Schuman; a brother-in-law, Orville Wahlrabe; nieces and nephews; and her best special friend, Gene Goff. Preceding Paulette in death is her husband, a daughter, Malinda Egan, her parents, and a sister, Mary Jane Wahlrabe.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro, Wisconsin. The family wishes to thank Aurora Medical Center, Aurora Hospice, especially Hospice Nurse Stacy Stone, for the wonderful care which allowed Paulette to stay in her home.
