Pauline Binder, age 94, of Oshkosh, died Thursday evening, September 29, 2005 at Bethel Home. She was born in Oshkosh on May 28, 1911 to Phillip and Elizabeth (Ruhl) Goerlitz. Pauline married Albert "Happy" Binder on September 6, 1930 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1991.
Pauline co-owned and operated the airport drive-in on 20th Avenue in the 1950's. She enjoyed knitting, crafting, and playing cards-especially sheepshead.
Survivors include one son: Albert (Karen) Binder of Oshkosh; one daughter: Agnes (Neil) Schumacher of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren: Laura (Tim) Dunn of Florissant, Missouri; Jill (Doug) Paull of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; Kerri (Russell) Steinhorst of Alpharetta, Georgia; Kurt Schumacher of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven great-grandchildren: Mitchell Paull of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; Ian, Collin, and Bryan Dunn all of Florissant, Missouri; Rachel, Kate, and Jack Steinhorst all of Alpharetta, Georgia; three sisters: Molly Mohr and Grace Lett, both of Oshkosh; and Beatrice Laib, of Gillett, Wyoming; one sister-in-law: Arlene Goerlitz; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Pauline in death are her husband; parents; four sisters: Ann Rehbein, Emma Weigandt, Norma Luft, and Marie Sorensen; three brothers: Al Goerlitz, Walter Goerlitz, and Henry Goerlitz.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
